The Acupuncture Society is one of the UK’s main professional bodies for Acupuncture and Chinese medicine related therapies. Both college and individual members are bound by a strict Code of Ethics, Rules and Regulations and a Code of Professional Conduct and Safe Practice.  Members are obliged to comply with local health authority safety, hygiene and sterilization requirements, government regulation and carry full indemnity insurance, undergo first aid training and attend CPD courses. All graduates of JCOM are automatically eligible to join the Acupuncture Society, and all members are on the Acupuncture Society professional register of practitioners
